This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, disclosed, and otherwise processed when you use Mira, an AI research assistant service, or any product, service, or application that links to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Hangzhou Deep Principle Technology Co.,Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") processes personal data in connection with Mira.

Mira is currently offered on a test/beta basis by the Mira team at Hangzhou Deep Principle Technology Co.,Ltd. We are responsible for operating the service and for the processing of personal data described in this Policy.

If the service structure changes as part of a formal commercial launch, we may update this Policy and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.

2. Scope and Key Definitions

"Personal data" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an individual, directly or indirectly.

"Sensitive personal data" (or similar terms under applicable law) may include data such as health information, precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, or other information treated as sensitive under applicable law.

"Your Content" means the prompts, chat messages, files, papers, notes, datasets, research materials, and other content you submit to Mira, as well as outputs generated for you based on that content.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that are not operated by us, even if you access them through links or integrations made available within Mira.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data in three main ways: (a) data you provide to us, (b) data we collect automatically, and (c) data we receive from third parties where permitted by law.

A. Data you provide

• Account data, such as your email address, mobile phone number, verification codes, account credentials, profile details, and settings.

• Communications data, such as messages you send to us, support requests, feedback, survey responses, and materials you choose to share with us.

• Service content, such as prompts, chat history, uploaded files, papers, notes, datasets, generated outputs, saved research context, and task settings you choose to use in Mira.

B. Data collected automatically

• Device and technical data, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, language settings, and similar technical information.

• Usage and log data, such as feature usage, access times, clickstream data, session activity, performance data, crash reports, and diagnostic logs.

• Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 8.

C. Data from third parties

• If permitted by law, we may receive data from service providers, affiliates, public sources, or third parties that help us with security, fraud prevention, or account authentication. If you sign in or connect a third-party account or service, we may receive information from that third party as part of that connection.

4. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to provide, maintain, improve, and protect Mira. Depending on your location and applicable law, we rely on one or more legal bases, including performance of a contract with you, your consent, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

We use personal data for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account, authenticate you, and provide the features and services you request.

• To operate Mira’s core functionality, including analyzing your prompts and uploaded materials, maintaining conversation continuity and saved context, generating outputs, and running recurring or scheduled tasks that you enable.

• To respond to support requests, communicate with you about the service, and send operational notices such as verification messages, updates, or security alerts.

• To monitor performance, debug errors, conduct research and testing, and improve product quality, usability, and safety.

• To detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms.

• To comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, court orders, and regulatory obligations.

• To send marketing communications where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

5. How Mira Uses Your Content

Mira processes Your Content to provide AI-assisted features and service functionality. We handle Your Content as follows:

Key commitments

• We do not use Your Content - including your prompts, uploaded files, chat history, or generated outputs - to train or improve our AI models.

• We use Your Content only to provide the features you request, such as generating answers and outputs, analyzing uploaded materials, maintaining saved context and history, and enabling recurring or scheduled tasks you choose to use.

• If you contact support, we may review the information you provide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Where feasible, we ask that you share only what is necessary and avoid unnecessary sensitive data.

• We may process Your Content and related metadata as reasonably necessary to maintain security, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect users and the service.

• We may use aggregated or de-identified information, such as usage statistics, feature adoption metrics, and performance trends, to improve Mira, provided that such information is not intended to identify you.

6. If You Provide Personal Data About Others

If you provide personal data about another person - for example, by uploading a paper, dataset, or document that contains information about someone else - you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to do so and that any required notices or consents have been provided.

7. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data only in the following circumstances:

A. Service providers

• We may share personal data with vendors and contractors that help us operate Mira, such as hosting, infrastructure, security, customer support, analytics, and similar service providers. They process personal data on our behalf and subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.

B. Affiliates

• We may share personal data with our affiliates for internal administration, security, support, and service delivery, consistent with this Policy.

C. Business transfers

• If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

D. Legal and safety reasons

• We may disclose personal data where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or prevent fraud or security incidents.

E. With your direction or consent

• We may share personal data when you instruct us to do so or when you otherwise consent.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate Mira, remember preferences, improve security, understand usage, and enhance the user experience.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the availability or functionality of certain features.

Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

9. Marketing Choices

Service-related communications, such as verification messages, security alerts, and operational notices, are necessary to provide Mira and are not marketing communications.

Where we send marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us at [email protected]. Opting out of marketing will not affect service-related communications.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in China and may process or store personal data in China and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

When personal data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, these safeguards may include contractual commitments, standard contractual clauses, data transfer agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide Mira, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the reason it was collected. For example, account information is generally retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward; Your Content is generally retained until you request deletion, your account is deleted, or retention is required for backup, security, or legal reasons; and security logs may be retained for a limited period to support fraud prevention and system integrity.

When personal data is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it unless retention is required or permitted by law.

12. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, logging and monitoring, least-privilege access, and incident response procedures.

No system is completely secure. You should use a strong password, protect your credentials, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.

13. Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal data, we will investigate, contain, and remediate the incident as appropriate.

Where required by law, we will notify regulators and/or affected individuals without undue delay and within any legally required timeframe.

14. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port certain personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority or regulator.

To exercise your rights, including requests to delete your account or personal data, please contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. Mira does not currently provide a self-service tool for account or data deletion.

15. Automated Processing

We may use automated processing, including AI systems, to provide Mira, generate outputs, personalize certain service experiences, improve safety, and detect spam, fraud, or abuse.

We do not intend to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, unless we provide any notice and safeguards required by applicable law.

16. Children

Mira is not directed to children. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction, you must not create an account or use Mira unless permitted by applicable law and, where required, with parent or guardian consent.

If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete it as required by applicable law.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through Mira or by other appropriate means. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this Policy shows when it was last revised.
